Civic buildings are approved in meeting rooms long before they are built on site. For this project I produced a complete architectural visualization package for a community center and a school, giving the project team clear, confident imagery to present the design to stakeholders, planning reviewers, and the community itself.
The visuals show both buildings in their finished context: landscaped grounds, realistic daylight, and everyday activity that help every viewer understand not just what the architecture looks like, but how it will feel to visit, learn, and gather there.
The Brief
The brief called for exterior 3D visualizations of two distinct buildings within one development: a community center with a bold, open civic presence, and a school designed around light, safety, and outdoor life. Together, the renders needed to work as planning support material, funding presentations, and early marketing assets.
Clarity was the priority. The audience would include people with no architectural training, so every image had to communicate instantly: where the entrances are, how the buildings meet the street, and how the outdoor spaces serve the people who will use them.

Design Approach
My approach to architectural visualization starts from the architect’s design intent and works outward. Every decision, from sun angle to camera height to entourage, is made to explain the building, never to decorate it.
The community center is shown in bright midday light so the facade system reads honestly: exposed structural cross-bracing, deep overhanging roof planes, and full-height glazing that opens the interior to the street. Materials are rendered for realism, glass, timber, plaster, and metal roofing, balanced to feel warm and welcoming rather than institutional.
The school views shift to the courtyard experience: a shaded pergola walkway, bold accent framing, clear building signage, and active outdoor areas with seating, sports courts, and play equipment. This school building 3D visualization presents the campus as a working educational environment, safe, legible, and full of daylight.
Eye-level cameras place the viewer exactly where a visitor would stand, on the pavement outside the community center and inside the school courtyard. This human-scale viewpoint keeps the architecture grounded and believable. Entourage is kept purposeful: pedestrians, vehicles, planting, and play activity that give the scenes life without pulling attention from the design.

Deliverables
- Exterior architectural visualization of the community center
- Exterior 3D visualization of the school building and courtyard
- Photorealistic material and lighting development
- Multiple eye-level camera angles for presentations
- High-resolution renders for print and digital marketing
- Structured revision rounds to match the design intent
